I was fortunate enough to play on the Thursday night TPI stream, the game before the Village Idiot release. I went into that game thinking I’d never been evil on stream before and, lo-and-behold, there it was. A big red hand. I was Legion. We were playing Recruitment Agency, and I was thankful that Lunatic was not on the script. I got the names of my fellow Legion, some bluffs (3 for the 8 of us!) and away we went.
Legion is tricky to navigate. Avoiding double claims, being cognisant of outsider count, not being found to only chat to evils or have no private chats. All things I was thinking of when I was formulating a plan. After hearing of a Chef number of 4, I thought… to help make that number more believable, a Recluse bluff might be in order. Helps to explain bad information and outsider count. Turns out my High Priestess neighbour had other thoughts about my possible role. Legion? Nah. But evil? Yes!
As the game progressed, I was executed and the game didn’t end. Finally the good team was set, correctly, on it being Legion. We came close with it seemingly being a 50/50 between two players, but good was victorious in the end. Legion is always hard to win, but a Recluse bluff can help get to the end.
