Bootlegger rule: The Ferryman’s ability is amended to: Each night* the demon may choose if all dead players regain their vote token.
This script contains reasons for minions to play freely as outed evil if caught, knowing that they can make extra plays from the grave! Good players can counter with their own dead votes, but use too many and the Demon may not restore the votes!
v1.1 updates:
-Cannibal, +Undertaker
Cannibal was simply too strong when combined with the powerful You Start Knowing roles on the script. Undertaker is a natural replacement that still encourages execution, whilst preventing the Evil team being overwhelmed with powerful double Pixie or Shugenja info.
-Investigator, +Librarian
Investigator combined with Town Crier can lead to some undesirable “nomination control” strategies. It was also a very powerful piece of info on its own and playtest feedback showed the script to be good-favoured, so replacing it should help. Librarian can help provide cover for a Damsel or find a Drunk, or provide a “friend” for the newly added Butler.
-Magician, +Balloonist
Magician has undesirable interactions with Mezepheles, Vigormortis, and Ojo, all of whom have methods of nullifying it. Balloonist should be helpful without being overwhelmingly strong. I recommend using the option to add an extra outsider sparingly as the outsider count being a puzzle to solve is an intended part of the script’s design.
-Lunatic, +Butler
Without Magician, Lunatic is a weak outsider and so is being replaced with Butler, which has some interesting interactions with the Djinn rule. A Butler must be extra careful who they pick as limiting the good team’s voting power could prove fatal if the evil team make use of the Djinn rule.
