==Djinn Rule==
If 5 or more players live, evil players who nominate other living evil players (not Travellers) immediately swap charactes
==How to Run==
If an evil player nominates another living evil player while 5 or more players live, immediately swap their character tokens. When the game enters the night phase, inform the two players of their new roles. Travellers are unaffected.
==Other Notes==
This is the version submitted to the World Cup. After a little time to reflect, I probably would:
-Remove the Spirit of Ivory. I think I got the Ogre muddled in the submission rush – it serves functionally no purpose -Slightly reword the ability to better factor in Travellers. Travellers are neither meant to swap via the rule, nor count against the ‘if 5 or more live’ -Widow/Ojo is meh in an online game. Ce la vie. – Add the Bootlegger Fabled to the json/pdf. Ce la vie again.
Ogre is a minor issue, as RAW an evil player can swap with an evil Ogre, flip teams, then out them. But also, Ogre goes late in the night & the Demon can kill them to prevent this happening if they know there’s been a flip.
How to Run – Tricky Interactions (Updated)
Preacher – A ‘preached’ Minion becomes unpreached if they swap with the Demon. The ‘preached’ condition is removed completely if this happens.
Example: Dan is the Cerenovus. He is preached & loses his ability. He nominates the Demon, becoming the No Dashii. He then nominates another Minion, becoming the Assassin. As the Assassin, he is not affected by the Preacher and has his ability. A ‘preached’ Minion does not become unpreached if they nominate-swap with another Minion.
Example: Zylus is the Cerenovus. He is preached, and loses his ability. He nominates Amy the Widow, swapping characters. He is now a ‘preached’ Widow and still has no ability. Amy, however, is now a functioning Cerenovus.
Goblin – A Goblin’s ability can only trigger if they claim to be the Goblin while they are actually the Goblin. Example: Lachlan is the Kazali. He is nominated, and claims to be the Goblin. He gets 8 votes. He then nominates Ben the Goblin, becoming the new Goblin. Lachlan’s execution will not trigger the Goblin win condition.
Widow – A swapped Widow picks a new target that night. A new good player is not notified that a Widow is in play.
No Dashii – A swapped No Dashii immediately poisons its new Townsfolk neighbours
Assassin – A swapped Assassin gains a new instance of its ability
