Description
You start knowing a secret phrase. For each time you said it publicly today, a player might die.
Interactions
A player dies. Can be day or night. This can setup some very interesting interactions, such as mimicking a Tinker / Witch / Harpy / Golem / Psychopath death.
Killing an outsider during the day to setup a godfather world/kill. Killing 2 or 3 people at night to simulate a Shabaloth or Po.
No published Jinxes is great too!
Playing
A very social character, more so than other demon. To be natural in conversation, slipping a phrase in once or twice. It also, like a few other characters, requires a lot of faith in the ST, both in the phrase you are given but also in the death choices, especially since they can happen at any time.
Telling the minions the phrase so they can try and set you up to say it in a more natural way. Manufacturing a situation where good players say the phrase to hide it as the true phrase or cast suspicion onto them.
Storytelling
12 pages in a story telling guide. That makes sense, a very story teller intensive character that requires good setup in picking a phrase that can be said naturally but also not too many times without some suspicion. The ST also needs to track how many times it is said and decide who, when and how many players to kill. It will require a lot of faith in the Story Teller to get it right.
Final Thoughts
The art is fabulous, although personally when I first saw it I wanted more… chaos, more laughter, Deviant style, because when I saw the chattering teeth I immediately thought of the Joker from Batman.
I love the thought of this! In practice, with my main groups, I think it will be amazing. Strong meta will provide a wealth of different phrases no matter who draws the token. With random/pickup groups, I think mileage will vary as the Story Teller quality and group meta will all play heavily into how fun this will be, either as it or in a game with it.
