Description
Deus ex Fiasco – At least once per game, the Storyteller will make a mistake, correct it, and publicly admit to it.
Interactions
Actually none, but also all of them really.
Playing
Nothing for players to do here except follow the Story Teller.
Story Telling
Now this is where everything lies. Designed as a crutch for Story Tellers who are either new or stepping up to the next level to a script they might be unsure of. This allows, from the start, for players to understand that things might happen, and that it is OK.
Final Thoughts
This is a complicated one. I admire the accessibility that The Pandemonium Institute strive for with their fables, and this is no exception. Allowing for nervous Story Tellers to approach the task with more confidence, however the inclusion of ‘will’ in making a mistake might cause more issues for them if they don’t make a mistake and has to force one.
For now, I think in the right hands this is a great inclusion, I just hope experienced Story Tellers don’t abuse this to spice their games up.
