Ventriloquist – If a player is mad as a fresh character during their nomination, they might not die if executed today.
Interactions
So many, but possibly none. Do any other characters cause execution prevention? Find a way to differentiate between Ventriloquist and other saves. How this interacts is so dependent on the script, but also your players.
Playing
Do you want to survive? Claim something! Do you want to die? Then don’t. Pretty easy. But remember it is Storyteller choice if you survive or not.
Story Telling
Be wary of kingmaking either team with a save, especially as the game goes on. Put it in play early then remove it on final 5 isn’t a bad thing, Lorics don’t have to be all or nothing for the whole game.
Final Thoughts
This is an interesting, and divisive, Loric. It certainly plays into the chaotic side of the game so more serious groups might find it frustrating and not get much, if any, mileage out of it.
Overall, I like the spaces that the Lorics are exploring and, as TPI stated, they are tweaks to the game which is completely voluntary so if your group doesn’t vibe with it, cool, don’t put it in play.
