Happy Together

Happy Together is focused around the Alchemist-Summoner jinx and its interaction with the Heretic. Normally, they would just lose if they get executed before they create a Demon, but a Heretic could come out and offer them an easy exit! But can they trust it?

The rest of the script is sort of built like a Teensy-version of the upcoming expansion Midnight in the House of the Damned, with win-conditions (potentially to be reversed by the aforementioned Heretic) a-plenty, i.e. Goblin, Damsel, Vortox. Filling out the town I put some quite strong info, such as the Savant and the Village Idiot, to help them differentiate between good and evil, and try and figure out what’s the best path forward among many.

I also thought the Alchemist-Summoner’s 3 day wait could stretch out the Teensy to the scope of an almost full-sized game, sort of how Leviathan does the same thing in scripts like Laissez un Faire.

Storytelling Happy Together can be quite tricky, since you decide who becomes the Demon instead of the Alchemist, so make it fun and fair, keeping the balance in mind, knowing your play group. Also, if you rack an Alchemist-Summoner and a Summoner together, if not careful, you might end up with two Demons at the end. Generally, probably summon onto a single player in that case, maybe letting the Summoner choose the player and override their Demon type choice with the Alchemist’s.

My testing has shown it to be striking a nice balance between puzzle-y and silly. Hope you enjoy it!
