G’day — I’m Beardy

About

The Tasmanian home of Blood on the Clocktower — run by one very bearded bloke who has played a few too many games and regrets none of them.

Beardy, smiling on a vintage tram That’s me 👋

I first played Blood on the Clocktower in 2018 at PAX Australia — and that was it, I was hooked. I’ve been back to every single PAX Aus since, and I backed the Kickstarter that brought the game into the world.

Since then I’ve played more than 1,000 games and storytold more than 500. These days I make the videos, run the live streams, build the tools, and tell far too many dad jokes — all to share the world’s best bluffing game with as many people as possible.

I’m an avid strategy gamer at heart, but I don’t take the winning too seriously. The game’s the thing.

When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning.

The best bit

It’s the people

The coolest part of all of this isn’t the videos or the tools — it’s travelling and playing in person with people all around the world. There’s a whole global community around this little game, and getting to sit at the table with it is genuinely the best part of what I do.

I run open games in Hobart, Tasmania, and a busy Discord where new players are always welcome — we’ll teach you. Come say hi, online or in person.
