A HUGE month for me, with the Starlight Game Changers charity seeing me raise over $1600 and participate with BasicallyBebe in some chaotic games, helping her reach her target of over $10,000 for the charity!
I also did a full weekend of running games for new players at the Huon Medieval and Ren Faire, with everyone having a blast!
Finally, Jinx It is going well with 12 scripts over 3 groups being showcased with one group left before the final 4 is decided.
Content
A bumper month, with lots of extra content including the Q&A I did post AusCon and two of the Murder Masquerade games I streamed for your viewing pleasure. This was on top of the regular shorts and 2 games a week!
The standouts for me with these games were Tor-able Choices and A Saint and a Mayor. Both fun games that show off Tor and Lleech well, respectively.
Games
I did 65 games during the month, 38 as the Storyteller.
This included 10 in person over the regular Hobart event and the Ren Faire, which were the standout. Standing in a field, people all dressed up and discovering the game for the first time and leaving with joy will never get old.
The most memorable game was one of the Hobart games, a fourteen player Sects and Violets where completely normal things happened. Like the demon Barber swapping the Dreamer and the Snake Charmer, who then charmed the demon they had previously dreamed…. on the same night the Pit-Hag turned the new demon into…. the Evil Twin, so the game still continued. After 2 nights of no death, they created a good Vortox and the game ended in a final 3 with all good players alive and correctly determined this to kill the good demon to win!
Looking Forward
The finals of Jinx It is approaching fast and I am excited for all the scripts that made it through so far and can’t wait to see who the eventual winner will be! For the rest of September it is business as usual before a few things happening in October and ramping up before the end of the year.
